There are days for me when concentrating is like being on a Ferris wheel and a merry-go-round all at the same time. No matter how hard you try to go to the racetrack that is your brain, it just scrambles, jumps, and goes everywhere. In my head, when I talk and get exasperated or excited, my brain and my tongue don’t always line up, and whatever happens to cross my path will come out of my mouth instead of the thought I’m having. Over the last 4 or 5 years, this has become really noticeable and more to the forefront of my daily fight with thought and the process of speaking. This can happen once a day or 20 or 30 times in a 10- minute conversation, which gives my wife and daughter entertainment and laughter. You get to the point where you have to even laugh at yourself.
